Aviation and process industries are among them. A rule written in blood specifies the mandatory regulations that must be implemented in future productions or systems based on lessons learned from a painful experience. For example, in the fuel sector, the overflow of gasoline in a terminal resulting in a catastrophic incident led to the establishment of standards for tank overflow prevention systems and the improvement of safety standards.
